Costume Exhibition

Thirlestane Castle hosts a costume exhibition which represents the story told through costume of life in the castle from 1590 to 1910.

There are many different styles of costume through the ages and the idea was to try and bring some of the main historical characters to life through costume as they were an important part in Scotland's history.

All costumes have been hand sewn by Eileen Matheson a member of staff at Thirlestane Castle.
