Lauderdale Lass

Earlier in July, Judi Gunn found out about a mare which had been terribly abused by previous owners. She was shy of humans and would bolt whenever anyone came near. She bore many scars from her mistreatment, both physical and mental.

This mare could no longer be supported and was about to be destroyed. Judi was so touched by her plight that, with the help of donations from Lauderdale residents, Judi bought this horse and provided her with a new home and the care she was desperately needing. Judi renamed her Lauderdale Lass in recognition of the kind donations of many Lauderdale residents.

Since then Lauderdale Lass has improved little by little, but it will be a long slow process of healing. Judi welcomes visitors. Lauderdale Lass's favourite foods are hobnobs and donuts.
